01.INTERNATIONAL GOTHIC
International Gothic Is a creating a common aesthetic among the royalty and higher nobility and considerably reducing the variation in national styles among works produced for the courtly elites.


The dates that the style existed - in the late 14th century and early 15th century, it ends of the 19th century.

02.BARBIZON SCHOOL


The Barbizon school of painters is named after the village of barbizon. Natural scenes became the subjects of their paintings rather than mere backdrops to dramatic events. Extending their ideas landscape to figures, one of them drew peasant figures, scenes of peasant life, and work in the fields.

03. Dada


Is a cultural movement that began in Zurich, Switzerland, during World war 1. It was anti-war political work that movement primarily  involved Visual arts, Graphic design, literature - poetry.The movement influenced later styles like the avant -garde and downtown music movements.

04.Art Deco
   
Art deco is an artistic and design style that began in france in 1920s. This style spread through out the world in 1930s. The style influenced all areas of design, including architecture and interior design, industrial design, fashion and jewelry, as well as the visual arts such as painting, graphic arts and film.The term "art deco" first saw wide use in 1966, after an exhibition in Minneapolis

05.Letterism
In French, the movement is called Lettrisme, from the French word for letter, arising from the fact that many of their early works centred around letters and other visual or spoken symbols.

06.International Typographic styles
The International Typographic Style, also known as the Swiss Style, is a graphic design style developed in switzerland in the 1950s that emphasizes cleanliness, readability and objectivity.The style is also associated with a preference for photography in place of illustrations or drawings.Many of the early International Typographic Style works featured typography as a primary design element in addition to its use in text, and it is for this that the style is named

07 Deconstructivism
Deconstructivism is a development of postmodern architecture that began in the late 1980s.It is characterized by ideas of fragmentation, an interest in manipulating ideas of a structure's surface or skin.Originally, some of the architects known as Deconstructivists were influenced by the ideas of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida.

09 Classical realism
Classical Realism refers to an artistic movement in late 20th century painting that places a high value upon skill and beauty, combining elements of 19th century.Classical Realist style is characterized by a love for the  visible world and the great traditions of Western art.

10.Postmodernism
Postmodernism is a movement away from the viewpoint of modernism. More specifically it is a tendency in contemporary culture characterized by the problem of objective truth and inherent suspicion towards global    cultural narrative.Postmodernist thought is an intentional departure from modernist approaches that had previously been dominant. It involves the belief that many, if not all, apparent realities are only social constructs, as they are subject to change inherent to time and place.

CLASH OF THE TITANS

CLASH OF THE TITANS


1) Who are the Titans?
they are the parents' of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.


2) Are the any interesting motifs you see frequently appearing (Eg. Lightning bolts)? How do you interpret their meaning? Can you name a modern version, of this motif, used today?


The lightning bolts interpret the power and grace of Zeus, the wings interpret pegasus, the swords and shields interpret the soldiers. Parthenon the temple of Athena now used for most of Greek restaurant in any city of the world (Parthenon Restaurant).


3) Is your Greek character in the movie? If so, does the film's interpretation match your research?


Yes, Most of them, Eg, Zeus


4) Are any of the characters, in the movie, related (Eg. a mother or father, wife or husband, brother or sister) to your Greek myth? If so, how?


yes 'Zeus'. Zeus is the son of  CRONUS .The ruler of the Titans was Cronus  who was de-throned by his son Zeus


6) Is their a constellation of stars named after your Greek character?



7) How is Medusa killed? Does your Greek character have a weakness?
Medusa is killed by Perseus, he looked for Medusa's reflection from his shield and cut her head off with his sword. There are no weakness

The mother of earth  is Gaea also known as the earth goddess. She mated with her son to produce the remaining world of Titans.


HISTORY OF THE TITANS
The Titans of greek mythology are,in the first generation, the aunts, uncles, and parents of the olympian gods and goddesses.There are 12 Titans who are children of Gaia and Uranus.The mother of earth  is Gaea also known as the earth goddess. She mated with her son to produce the remaining world of Titans. Urenus is the sky god and first ruler.He is the son of gaea then became the husband.  There were six elder Titans named Kronos, Koios, Lapetos, Hyperion, Okeanos, who ruled the world before Olympians came to power.
           For a generation, the Titans  shared the world and created mankind. There were six sons and six daughters, most of the men imprisoned in the belly of the world by whose father when they close to fight a war with a younger gods called olympians. The ruler of the Titans was Cronus  who was de-throned by his son Zeus.
      Atlas, Prometheus and Menoetius are sons of the lapetus who are the second generation of the Titans.

Adventures
The role of the Titans as elder goads was overthrown by a race of younger gods. They have fought with other younger gods like olympians. Most of the titans fought with cronus against Zeus and were punished by being banished to Tartarus .During their rule the Titans were associated with the various plents.

   In Greek mythology, the Titans were a race of powerful deities that ruled during the legendary Golden Age. The Titans were twelve from their first literary appearance, in Hesiod, Theogony; pseudo-Apollodorus, in Bibliotheke, adds a thirteenth Titan Dione, a double of Theia, aka Medusa. The six male Titans are known as the Titanes, and the female as the Titanides ("Titanesses"). The Titans were associated with various primal concepts, some of which are simply extrapolated from their names: ocean and fruitful earth, sun and moon, memory and natural law.

Atlas – The Titan Atlas was doomed to support the heavens on his shoulders. The name Atlas is used by a modern moving company (Atlas Van Lines). Also, Atlas Travel is a popular name for travel agencies all over the globe. Other companies with Atlas in their brand names are Atlas Railroad Company, Atlas Snowshoes, Atlas Games.


Appearance of Titans
The titans are as large as mountains and they possess immense physical strength and stamina, and the titans appear more ancient, earthly, and elemental. The titans who make various appearances throughout the god of war series.
