Respect
The rights of Indigenous people to own and control their heritage in their own way, including art, cultural materials, designs and stories that they have produce.To respect widely to indigenous rights there are some protocols should follow,
Acknowledgment of country

Indigenous Australians, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, are the original

inhabitants of Australia. They have a strong connection with their motherland they love their country in heart. They talk to country, they sing to country, worry about the country. The aboriginal people say that country knows, hears, smell, feel the people thoughts.

Public art – acknowledging land

It is common practice for Indigenous artists to

seek approval from the Indigenous community 

for public art-based projects in any particular

‘country’ within Australia. For example, the 

Metropolitan Land Council (MLC) in Sydney

notes that it was consulted by Fiona Foley of  

Badtjala heritage in Queensland when she was 

developing a public artwork to be installed in 

Gadigal country, Sydney.

Attribution and copyright

Many people think that copyright is a very complicated issue, but since understand the basics of copyright that won't be acomplicated issue.

The indigenous people are seek to have a greater share in any benefits generated from the use of their cultural stories. All the copyright issues are relevent to their cultural materials and cultural things that they produce in their home country. It is very important to have a good clear understanding about the copyright issue that can easily be a chance a get a copyright under current government law.

Moral Rights and Issues

Some Indigenous cultural material is not suitable for wide dissemination on the grounds of secrecy

and confidentiality. Any arts or any kind of materials that belongs to indigenous people we have to respect them and we have to work under the copyright issues and certain rules and regulations.
